The Wedding Experience

We are back from our trip down to Naples. We had a wonderful time. It flew by of course. Alexis had a wonderful time. The wedding was great and Alexis did a great job. We of course had been talking up the wedding to try and get Alexis as ready as she could be for the big day. Once the big day came, she did pretty well. I had to walk down half of the aisle with her but at least she made it down. She refused to wear the beautiful flower headpiece so her hair looked a little disheveled and like I didn't even do anything with it. But I guess I can't be too picky when it comes to a toddler's hair. At least she didn't have a meltdown in the middle of the aisle. Once the ceremony was over, the m&m's came in handy. She sort of refused to smile for the pictures until we offered up handfuls of those "do anything for" candies. She finally cooperated by the end.
Later on in the evening, Alexis changed from being a shy bashful child to a wild outgoing kid dancing the jig on the dance floor. She was a dancing fool. If she didn't look like me, I wouldn't have even thought she was my child. Needless to say, we had a great time but are glad to be back home. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

These pictures show Alexis not looking too excited about getting dressed (we did have to wake her up from a nap) to posing with the ring bearer and junior groomsmen to walking down the aisle almost completely covering her face to posing for daddy outside by the water to dancing it up on the dance floor.
