Fireworks
Well we thought we'd try the fireworks this year with Alexis. I was thinking that she might be old enough to not be too scared by the loud bangs. We headed up to the park and waited the hour until it finally became dark enough to start. The initial blasts were a little frightening with Alexis burrowing her head in Dean's chest and wrapping her arms around his neck with a death grip. Once she relaxed a little, she did enjoy them for the most part. She did keep her fingers in her ears the entire time but at least she didn't scream and make us leave. It was a pretty good show. It even lasted about 30 minutes which is a pretty decent time for fireworks I guess. We had a good time and it was nice that the weather decided to hold out. They were predicting rain and thunderstorms the entire day. We'll definitely plan on seeing them again next year.

I am glad she liked them, I think next year will be the year for Naomi!
Sophie liked them this year too, although it lost her attention towards the end! I just wish they would get better and more spectacular. I mean, aren't they the same since our days back in the 80's? Have we only evolved with smiley faces and peace signs?
